Hey everyone, small update for today! After speaking with Boston, MUSC, and CHOP, it looks like we will be admitting Celise to MUSC. This is especially exciting for us because it means we will be returning to my hometown, where we will have tons of additional support from family and friends.

Celise continues to get stronger and increase her feedings (she’s up to 30ml!), which is great news for the surgeons. She’s not very happy about being on a ventilator, and though she’s sedated, she still manages to let us know. It’s heartbreaking to not be able to pick her up and cuddle her, but she does get some comfort from head pets and our hands on her chest. She is stable but still in critical condition, so all of her doctors are trying to make arrangements as quickly as possible.

Thank you everyone so much for your donations, prayers, and generosity, and for helping us spread the word about our baby girl. We are getting closer and closer every day!

About Me

Mason, Celise’s mom, grew up in Charleston SC and eventually settled down in Washington state with Celise’s father, Dillon, just outside of Portland, OR. This blog is to help keep friends and family updated on Celise’s progress. The links below are to Celise’s Facebook page as well as the family’s GoFundMe, which was set up to help financially support her parents while they are so far from home, and cover Celise’s medical needs.
